William F. Slattery Student Mentoring Program

 Students will be  paired with an ASID professional designer or an ASID Industry partner to experience the different facets of interior design in a local ASID design project. From this Mentoring program, committing up to 10 hours, students will receive a cash reward and gain knoweledge.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be in good standing with academics

  • Open to all ASID Interior design students in interior design programs in the Pennsylvania West Chapter region. Preference given to junior or senior students or second year graduate students.

  • Commit 10 hours for the Mentoring Program

  • Student must show interior design committment and leadership and demonstrate creative problem solving.

  • email resume and a ½ page essay as to why you believe you would be a great candidate.

  • email application to President@paw.asid.org

  • Title of email must be “William F. Slattery Mentoring Application

  • At the completion of the Mentoring Program the student will complete a 1 page essay describing thes experience and receive a cash gift of $250. Photos of the mentoring experience will be shared on social media and student career programs. 

  • Include (1) letter of recommendation by faculty that demonstrates the above qualities
